The ballad horn in C is an extinct brass instrument from the latter half of the 19th century. Its key made it particularly well suited to playing vocal parts with ease, hence the 'ballad' part of the name.

This album features 9 pieces of 16th and 17th century English folk/trad. music re-imagined for ballad horn and piano accompaniment.
