about

Carthage was founded by the queen Dido (the lyre), fleeing from the scheming Sychaeus, who killed her husband. This song is symbolic of the foundation of the city and its rise. The song opens with a small note to the local people before Dido arrives and gains the land. As the mighty walls and temples rise, a lone trumpet comes in (around 1:00), symbolizing the arrival of Aeneas, destined to found Rome. There is a brief period of back-and-forth between the two, and Aeneas finally leaves, leaving Dido, who kills herself in grief.

Aside from all that symbolic stuff, this piece is designed to function as a game loop. Feel free to use it in your game or film.

Please, feel free to leave your feelings and any constructive critique you may have on the piece, I will gladly read it and make changes. Constructive critique greatly helps me compose better pieces.
